Position Overview

Drumming and Percussion Teacher has a strong background in Drumming and Percussion techniques and a love for teaching children aged 6–16. The Drumming Teacher creates engaging and age-appropriate lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to explore their musical potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drum and percussion lessons tailored to students aged 6–16 with varying skill levels.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced drumming techniques, including rhythm, coordination, and musical expression.
  • Introduce students to different percussion instruments such as snare drums, congas, bongos, cajón, and marimbas.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on students’ needs and progress.
  • Organize and lead group workshops, rehearsals, and performances.
  • Foster an encouraging, inclusive, and fun environment to motivate students.
  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress through assessments and reports.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student development and goals.
  • Maintain and care for instruments and teaching materials.
