Vocal Performance Teacher (Children 6-16)

Position Overview
The Vocal Performance Teacher works with children and adolescents aged 6 to 16 and possesses a strong background in vocal pedagogy, performance, and music education, coupled with a passion for nurturing young talent. The Vocal Teacher designs and delivers engaging lessons that build students’ vocal techniques, confidence, and love for music while fostering their personal growth and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Delivery:
- Develop age-appropriate vocal instruction plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
- Teach foundational and advanced vocal techniques, including breath control, pitch accuracy, tone quality, and stage presence.
- Introduce students to diverse musical genres and repertoires, encouraging exploration and creativity.
Student Development:
- Evaluate and track student progress through regular assessments and performance opportunities.
- Provide constructive feedback to support improvement and build confidence.
- Cultivate a positive, supportive environment that inspires students to express themselves musically.
Performance Preparation:
- Organize and prepare students for recitals, competitions, school performances, and other public showcases.
- Teach performance skills such as audience engagement, diction, and emotional expression.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain an organized and engaging learning environment.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules to ensure a respectful and focused atmosphere.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other music educators to develop school or studio-wide programs and events.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with vocal teaching methodologies and trends in music education.
- Participate in workshops, training, and certifications to enhance teaching skills.
